This project was complete with six exam rooms, one procedure room, a phototherapy room, waiting room, reception desk, medical assistant stations, offices, clean and dirty utility rooms, charting areas, break room, and new staff and patient toilet rooms. The Inpatient Oncology Pavilion is provided with 20 inpatient rooms, a nursing station, patient and family concierge, conference area, and staff respite suite. Additionally, families wishing to remain with their loved one are provided with overnight accommodations in one of two bedroom suites provided in the renovation. Finally, the renovation includes a comfort and healing lounge that serves as a sanctuary where programs like music and art therapy can occur.

The controls also support daylight harvesting functions, enabled via skylights and roll-up doors, as well as localized color tuning and dimming. Through a collaborative design process, we create technology design solutions that meet the client's current and future needs. We design technology systems such as wired and wireless data networks, telecommunications cabling, and electronic safety/security systems that integrate with each other and the other complex building systems in a facility. A 3-D printed version of the original Iwan installation (constructed entirely from aluminum sheets) was also showcased along with Routes to Roots in the Milan Galleria Giovanni Bonelli, located in the heart of Isola quarter, next to Porta Garibaldi train station in Milan. Both Routes to Roots and Iwan highlighted an eco-conscious approach to design integrating biomaterials, natural resources, household and industrial waste and seamlessly blend traditional methods with innovation to craft modern design pieces.

Drawing upon their education in this field, they built a solid foundation to enter a world in which architects and their teams bring architecture to life. Over 370,000 professional visitors attend the fair each year, just under 70 per cent of them from 188 other countries, along with more than 5,000 national and international journalists and around 27,500 members of the public at the weekend. Designed by emerging Saudi architects Abdulqader Alsuwaidan, Nawaf Alghamdi, Hayat Almousa and Lama Dardas, Iwan draws its design inspiration from the Islamic Iwan and abstracted shapes of the Muqarnas, a form of decorative vaulting in Islamic architecture.

This project consists of the renovation of approximately 3,290 square feet of office space for a new dermatology clinic. This project consists of approximately 5,000 square feet of renovations for an infusion services floor, which includes chemotherapy and medical oncology care. She is a Dubai-based quilt artist, whose recent venture saw her embarking on a group quilt project by calling upon the UAE’s sewing and quilting community to join her in creating a patchwork quilt revolving around the theme ‘What the UAE Means to Me’. Many products are necessarily imported and that means prices, including meals at restaurants, can be high. Nassau can also feel a bit "touristy" at times, as the Prince George Wharf cruise ship dock can host as many as five large cruise ships at once. On busy days, cruise travelers are ubiquitous around the downtown area. Cable Beach is the most popular beach in Nassau and is close to the cruise port. Several hotels along Cable Beach offer day passes for access to their pools, restaurants, and other amenities.

Explore a Bat Cave
If you’re looking to get off the cruise for a bit and grab a quick drink, then head over to Pirate Republic Brewing Co. Pirate Republic Brewing Co. is one of two breweries in Nassau, and it is located right next to the cruise port. Afterward, you will get the chance to relax on the beach and enjoy some free time before heading back to your cruise ship.
Hang Out at Junkanoo Beach
There are two exit gates from here - one on the right-hand side (West) and another one of the left side (East). RIU Palace Beach Resort is a luxurious all-inclusive hotel on Paradise Island. The resort’s day pass gives you access to unlimited lunch, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a fitness center, swim-up bars, swimming pools, and poolside lounge chairs. There is also a grill station serving authentic Caribbean jerk food. Facilities are limited, but you can rent a beach chair and umbrella.
We’d suggest being careful and avoiding these as they aren’t always regulated. We’ve personally been on the beach when a woman who rented a ride accused the vendor of sexual assault. If you want to ride a jet ski, then look for a tour through the cruise line shore excursion desk. Check with your cruise line for the specific excursions available. But with limited time in port and the fact that many of the more “beachy” sites are some distance from the port, these tours make a lot of sense.

Now, you can swim, paddleboard, kayak, and even snorkel among these creatures and so many more. You can even become a trainer for the day and work alongside an animal behavioralist to learn more about these aquatic mammals and their life at Dolphin Cay. Popular restaurants include Bimini Road in the Marina Village, Plato’s if you want to catch the big game, Murray’s Deli overlooking the Atlantis Marina, and so many others. The limestone caves and caverns of Cave Beach were once inhabited by the Lucayans who inhabited these caves — the indigenous peoples of the Caribbean.
Shore excursions and tours
The Medieval ruins feature lush landscapes, tropical flowers, white marble cloisters, and terraced gardens. Nassau is home to ancient fortifications that protected the harbor area. Most of these attractions are a short walk from the cruise port terminal building. The forts housed large cannons to keep pirates and other invaders at bay. Many historic attractions in downtown Nassau are free for entry or for a minimal charge.
What Cruise Passengers Need to Know About Nassau Cruise Port
Local bus 12B, known as a "jitney," will drive by the roundabout, but you must wave it down to get it to stop for you. In July 2021 was officially opened Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau. Day passes cost US$115 (adults), US$45 (kids 3-12), US$0 (kids under 3). Day passes are inclusive of Water Park fee, US$25 credit (food and beverages), Wi-Fi (unlimited), beach access (chairs). Nassau Cruise Port terminal serves major passenger shipping companies as a port of call. Funds raised in 2021-Q2 (through an initial public offering via Bahamas Investment Fund) will be used for Phase 3.
Cave Beach
Love Beach is located a bit further than Cable Beach, and many people say it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas. It is known to be one of the quieter beaches in Nassau, making it the ideal choice for families. At Saunders Beach, you can access restroom facilities and a playground. If you like to explore cruise ports by foot, then you will enjoy visiting Nassau. The downtown area, Bay Street retail district, and many of Nassau’s historic sites are within walking distance of the cruise ship pier. Passengers who have booked shore excursions through the cruise line will find their tour operators stationed near the dock.
This space offers two performance theatres and aims to show the public just how dynamic Bahamian theatre can be. No matter which package or time you decide upon, you’re going to have access to round-trip transfers and the use of tanks, weights, weight belts, and even water and ice. You’re expected to bring (or rent) diving gear, though, and snacks, extra beverages, and tips for the crew. You have to be certified to dive here, but divers can experience all the walls, reefs, and wrecks surrounding the island when they are there. You can take a free guided tour of the estate, but self-guided tours are also available to the public.
One of the best ways to explore the historical sites of Nassau on a cruise day in the port is by taking a pedicab tour. You sit back and relax while a knowledgeable guide takes you on a ride, highlighting the rich history and culture of this vibrant city. The Educulture Junkanoo Museum is a great place to learn about the history of Junkanoo and to see the costumes that are worn during this festival. This museum is the brainchild of Arlene Nash Ferguson, who has been on the National Junkanoo Committee for over 24 years. The Heritage Museum of the Bahamas is a smaller museum with relics dating back to prehistoric times. At this museum, you will see tools used during slavery, items from a Bahamian grocery store in 1900, and a meteorite slice.
The project will include a new, iconic, arrivals terminal, a Junkanoo Museum, an Authentically Bahamian Marketplace, an Amphitheater, a coral reef exhibit, food and beverage and entertainment spaces. Besides beautiful marine life, you’ll also find two shipwrecks that make this place even more attractive to snorkelers and divers. This place is incredible and should be on everyone’s Nassau bucket list! There are different day passes and packages, so based on your preferences and wishes, you can choose the one that suits you the best. Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly fish excursion or you want to live it up into the early hours of the morning, you’re sure to find something to please everyone in Nassau.
It is filled with cafes, bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, and numerous local vendors. On the waterfront boardwalk, you’ll come across the ferry terminal where you can catch a ferry to Paradise Island. Inside the cruise terminal, you will find independent tour operators offering water taxi transfers to Paradise Island and the iconic Atlantis, and other tours and services.
As well, keep in mind that cars drive on the left here, so it will come from the opposite side when you cross streets. If you’re headed across the channel to Paradise Island or Atlantis, then there is a ferry you can ride for $7 each way. It’s rustic and open-air, with a guide that will point out some sights along the way. The ride takes about minutes but will also give you some great views of the ship.
Before booking, it’s a good idea to check what’s included on the rum-tasting tour. Beyond its reputation as a premier dining destination, Graycliff offers more than meets the eye. Q: Is there a cruise terminal in Nassau?

Blue Lagoon offers a gift shop, changing rooms, restrooms and shower facilities. When it comes to oceangoing vacations, the Bahamas can accurately be described as the industry's leading destination, with the capital city of Nassau being cruising's number one port of call.

However, locals parade up and down the beach offering chairs for rent and beverages sale. A long walk down the beach will bring visitors to Atlantis, where they can pose for their prerequisite Instagram shot. Junkanoo Beach is approximately a 15-minute walk from the cruise port, offering travelers an inexpensive and convenient way to enjoy some sun and fun.
Located 2 miles from the Nassau cruise terminal, Saunders Beach offers a beautiful stretch of white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. It has artificial coves for safe swimming, a playground, showers, and restrooms. The city's main shopping street (Bay Street) is a block from the cruise terminal.

So, if you want a taste of the locals’ experience, give this studio a visit. While exploring the caves is a fun attraction that drives visitors to the area, the beach itself is never very crowded. This leaves you with a taste for private island life without all the hubbub. Among the relics, you’ll also see local wildlife and fauna, as well the Bahamas natural ecosystem in its many forms.
Nassau Cruise Port has six operational cruise berths which can accommodate three Oasis-Class vessels simultaneously. There is 700 feet of mega yacht dockage space available within The Marina. When the port project is completed, there will be dedicated pick-up and drop-off locations for water-based tours and water ferries. The berths at Nassau Cruise Port are undergoing refurbishment to provide improved passenger experiences and a more efficient vessel interface process. But it’s more fun (and rustic) to pay the $7 per person and grab a spot on the open-air ferry that takes you from the cruise dock. It will drop you off a ways from Cabbage Beach and Atlantis, so there will be a walk versus being dropped off at your destination with a cab. The Nicest Beach Is Cabbage BeachIf you’re headed out on an excursion to a beach, you can rest assured you’ll visit somewhere nice. If you’re trying to plan a beach day on your own, then we’d suggest Cabbage Beach.
Straw Market – Bay Street – 450 vendors selling everything you can imagine from woven bags and hats to jewelry – a Nassau tradition. If you want to see the market wares, but want to avoid the crowds, there is a smaller version in Cable Beach. Jitney buses run from downtown Nassau to Cable Beach throughout the day at a cost of around $1.25 per ride (depends on the route taken). Another way to get to Paradise Island is the Water Taxi, which boards within walking distance of the pier, just off of Bay Street. Everything from cliffs to dunes to sandy beaches to coral reefs — there’s no one way to experience this park. Once you’re done interacting with the animals, it’s time to hit the trails! Clifton Heritage National Park is the perfect way to explore relics and the history of the Bahamian past while still getting sun and enjoying the water. Also, during various times of the month, visitors can check out Creative Nassau — an open-air market where you can find locally-made Bahamian art. If you didn’t know, Nassau was at the heart of the Golden Age of Piracy from 1690 to 1720. Shallow waters made it the perfect place for pirates to hide out and pillage to their heart’s content without much worry about the outcome — large warships couldn’t sail close to the shore.
